Hazelnut

The hazelnut belongs to the group of stone fruits and its cultivation dates back to the period of the ancient Romans. It is believed that it originally came from Asia Minor. It thrives in fertile and loose areas. It grows in the form of a gram, and has leaves that are rounded and long. The flowers appear before the leaves and can be classified as male or female. The fruits are grouped in bunches and have a skin that is brown.
The core of the hazelnut fruit contains many vitamins and nutrients. It is majorly enriched with B vitamins, especially B5 and B6, and is also rich in folic acid. Vitamins that are part of the B group are especially important, because they have been proven to provide energy to the body, improve concentration and have a positive effect on the entire nervous system. B6 is also a vitamin recommended - especially for pregnant women - to intake in order to prevent the occurrence of depression after childbirth.
Hazelnuts also contain vitamins A and E, which are good for the hair and skin, while vitamin E is extremely good for your blood vessels and overall cardiovascular system. In addition to the vitamins mentioned above, the hazelnut core also contains minerals such as zinc, magnesium and calcium, as well as omega 3 and 6 fatty acids – both to whom which are good for reducing high levels of cholesterol.
The amount of potassium it contains is even five percent higher than the amount contained in other fruits. Because of this composition, hazelnuts are one of the most energy-important foods.

If there is more glucose than fructose, honey will crystallize faster and easier. With acacia honey, for example, this process is slower because acacia honey contains more fructose.
